When I Grow Up...

In the Blink of an Eye

It happens so quickly that we don't always recognize it happening. Slowly moment by moment, day by day, and then year by year. We become caught up in the distraction called life. We get jobs, bills need to be paid, and families are born. We begin to loose ourselves among the chaos. We become so busy ensuring the mundane tasks are performed that we forget to take a few minutes for ourselves. At first a week goes by where we don't write in our journal, go for a hike in the woods, or have a coffee with a beloved friend. Before we know it has been years since we've taken the time for ourselves. In the blink of an eye it seems we loose who we used to be.\

Today: I'm taking that moment to reclaim who I used to be, ME.
